On December 31st, 2019, the 41st edition of the Nationale-Nederlanden San Silvestre Vallecana Popular will be celebrated around the streets of Madrid.
The event will be developed with the collaboration of Consejo Superior de Deportes, the General Directorate for Youth and Sports of the Community of Madrid, the General Directorate for Sports of the Madrid City Council and the Institutional Coordination Area of the Madrid City Council.
All those people who wish to participate, without distinction as to age or sex, may take part in the run, as long as they are correctly registered both in time and form.
People under the age of 16, on December 31st, 2019, may not formalize its registration. Those who have not attained 18 years of age will have to provide a proof of their father, mother or guardian when picking up their race number to participate in the eventDownload document.
The participation in the event is under the participant’s own risk and responsibility.The participant confirms, when he registers, that is physically fit to the practice of physical exercise, excluding the organization from any legal liability referred to its functions in the preparatory trainings or during the run.
The organization accepts no responsibility for any damage the participants could cause during the run, both to themselves or to third parties.
The event is limited to 40.000 participants.
The runs are disputed in a homologated urban circuit of ten kilometres, on asphalt surface.
The race start will take place from 17:30 hours in several successive waves: 17:30 hours, 17:45 hours, 18:00 hours and 18:15 hours. It is located in Concha Espina Street at the corner of Plaza Sagrados Corazones and the finish line is situated close to the Vallecas Stadium (Candilejas Street).
The waves will be organized by timed sections and in the following order:
The circuit goes through Concha Espina (Plaza Sagrados Corazones), Serrano, República Argentina, Serrano, Puerta de Alcalá, Alcalá (oncoming traffic), Cibeles (oncoming traffic), Paseo del Prado (oncoming traffic), Neptuno (oncoming traffic), Paseo del Prado (oncoming traffic), Plaza Emperador Carlos V (oncoming traffic), Ciudad de Barcelona, Albufera, Sierra del Cadí, Carlos Martín Álvarez, Martínez de la Riva, Diligencia, Candilejas (at the corner of Tiempos Modernos Street).
The following categories have been established:
Junior men and women
Those born in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003(16, 17, 18 and 19 years old).
Promises men and women
Those born in 1997, 1998 and 1999(20, 21 and 22 years old).
Senior menand women
Those born in 1985 and 1996.
Veterans men and women
Handbike and racing chairs men and women
All those wishing to participate in this category should register timely and in due form just like all the other runners and email email@example.com to be informed of the point of departure and arrival.
A special race start time will be enabled for categories of handbike and racing chairs before the official race start time at 17:30h. Participants of this category are requested to use this special start time in order to run on an obstacle-free circuit.
Blind runners should register timely and in due form just like all the other runners and will adhere to the Regulation of Nationale-Nederlanden San Silvestre Vallecana.
The blind runner must have and accredited mark of a homologated run.
To facilitate a race number to the guide, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, indicating some details of the guide (name, last name, email and phone).
In case of not having a guide, the registered runner must send an email to email@example.com requesting it and the organization will provide him one. He will have to indicate the registration number and the accredited time.
Registration must be made only through the website www.sansilvestrevallecana.com. Registrations will be opened from September 16th, 2019, to December 10th, 2019, at 23:00 hours or until the available positions have been exhausted.
Registration cost between September 16th, 2019, and October 1st, 2019, is 23€ (each registration increases 0,60€ in management costs)
From October 2nd, 2019, until final entries, the cost will increase 2€, so registration will cost 25€ (each registration increases 0,60€ in management costs).
The chip will be situated at breast level the day of the run. The chip is a sensible piece that must not get wet or bend before the run. During the collection days of the t-shirt and the chip, there will be a control point to verify the proper functioning of the chip.
At the time of registration, you can choose the option of mobile cloakroom Start-Finish line costing 5 euros, or permanent cloakroom in Vallecas costing 1 euro. Details of these services are included in the Article 17 of the present regulation.
As an option and on a voluntary basis, each runner can choose the “Dorsal Cero” for the amount of 3 euros, which will be used for research and help of children with cancer through Unoentrecienmil Foundation (www.unoentrecienmil.org).

All these rights will be exercisable in the time-limits and places that define and communicate the organization.
The collection of the chip, number and commemorative t-shirt will take place in the ABC Serrano shopping centre, (Serrano St., 61 – 28006, Madrid), 10:00-21:30h., from the 18th to the 30th of December 2019. On the 24th of December 2019, the timetable will be from 10:00 to 15:00h., and on the 25th of December 2019, it will remain closed.
The participant authorizes the health services of the event to practice any cure he may require, being or not available to request it; if the organization or the medical services require it, the participant is committed to abandon the race. This space will be communicated in this same regulation and in an email a few days before the start of the collect of the shirt / dorsal.
To collect the t-shirt/number and the chip, the participant has to present a valid identity document (ID card/NIE, passport or driving licence) with the proof of registration/ confirmation email and the minimum qualifying standard described in the article 10.
To pick the registration of another person, the participant must present a copy of the runner’s ID, a written permission of the registration owner, the proof of registration/confirmation email, and the participant minimum qualifying standard. The organization reserves the right to request the original document if it considers that the copy presented is fraudulent. If the participant presents a falsified document, he will be disqualified, and the registration fee will not be refunded.
The number cannot be collected the day of the event under no circumstance.
The registration is personal and non-transferable. Only in case of serious injury and after submitting a complete medical justification, a change in the ownership of the injured runner’s number can be made. Under no circumstances can the registration fee be refunded.
Participants shall wear properly, fully visible and without manipulating, the t-shirt/number provided by the organization during the entire circuit, from the access to exceed the finish line. Otherwise, the participant will immediately be disqualified.
In no case the organization will provide numbers to replace that t-shirt/number.
The organization will not assume any responsibility if the event is cancelled or postponed for reasons of force majeure.
To be able to receive a time bracelet that allows the participant to start the race from a starting box of less than 70 minutes, the runner must accredit its minimum qualifying mark at the moment of collecting its t-shirt/number with a printed document -official classification or accrediting diploma-, requesting the relevant bracelet.
These marks must be done in 10km track or route races validated by Nationale-Nederlanden San Silvestre Vallecana during 2019 or in the Nationale-Nederlanden San Silvestre Vallecana 2018, they are published on the website of the race. See a complete list. See a complete list..
The organization may request the accreditation of the minimum qualifying standard to any participant from the moment of registration to the awards ceremony. If a participant submits a counterfeited accreditation, he will be disqualified, and the registration fee will not be refunded. If a participant does not present that accreditation, he will start from the last starting box. Once the bracelet is delivered is responsibility of the runner to save it: if the bracelet gets lost, deteriorated or stolen, the organization will not provide another one.
The organization will have an adequate medical service in the start and finish line and during the circuit. The participant authorizes the health services of the event to practice any cure he may require, being or not available to request it; if the organization or the medical services require it, the participant is committed to abandon the race.
The only vehicles authorized to follow the run are those designated by the organization.
It is completely forbidden to participate or follow the runners by car, motorcycle, bicycle, roller skates, scooters or kid karts, as well as running with pet animals, as it could be dangerous for the athletes.
It is strictly forbidden to participate without a race number.
Any athlete who do not comply with this Regulation shall be disqualified.

The informal classifications will be published in the website of the race www.sansilvestrevallecana.com.
The net times are established as the officials (time since passing the finish line) for the Nationale-Nederlanden San Silvestre Vallecana Popular, except for the absolute award ceremony, where the gross time will be set (time from the shot).
If a participant’s name is not in the classifications, the participant must send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Before sending it, it is necessary to check that the chip was correctly situated. To identify a chip with a wrong reading, it is very helpful to indicate if the athlete has started or ended at the same time of another runner that is in the classification list, indicating its details.
The time limit to make corrections in the classifications will be opened from January 2nd, 2020, to January 14th, 2020.
There will be trophies for the first three classified of each category, that will be sent before February 18th, 2020, to the address stated in the registration. In the absolute Popular category (male and female) the trophies will be awarded the day of the event in Vallecas Stadium after the race Nationale-Nederlanden San Silvestre Vallecana Internacional.
The claims regarding the classification should be made to the referee-judge or race director up to 30 minutes after the results appear, enclosing 40 euros.
This amount will remain in deposit until the case is resolved, investing the necessary time to perform the appropriate verifications and consultations. Only if the organization considerate the claim is justified, it would return the amount deposited. The participant who does not fit with this process will be able to be disqualified in application of the Article 13 of the present Regulation.
The acceptation of the present Regulation implies that the participant authorizes the Organization to record, total or partial, its participation in the event and gives its consent for the use of its image to promote and diffuse the event, without having the right to receive any monetary compensation for that use.
All runners, when sending the registration, declare knowing and accepting the present Regulation.
All the aspects not envisaged in the above articles will be dictated by the Organizing Committee of the event.
