Once again, the registration process for the popular race offers participants the flexibility to choose between two options: in-person participation on December 31st in Madrid or virtual participation through the official app from December 28th to 31st. By registering once, runners can take part in both the in-person and virtual races, or they can opt to participate exclusively in the virtual race. This convenient dual registration system allows for a seamless experience, with a single payment covering all selected race options.
Registrations for the popular race will open on Monday, June 24th, and for the international race, on October 2nd.
Before opening the registration to the public, on June 26th, you will receive an email from the organization with a single-use link to formalize this year's registration. Please check your "junk mail" folder in case it ends up there.
The international race is intended for people who can prove a qualifying time of less than 39 minutes for men and 45 minutes for women in a 10K race held in 2023 on an homologated course or in the Nationale-Nederlanden San Silvestre Vallecana 2022. The capacity for the international race will be limited to 1.500 people.
No, only the records obtained in the 2023 races or in the Nationale-Nederlanden San Silvestre Vallecana in 2022 will be valid.
No, the qualifying times obtained with the official app, or any other running app are not valid for the international race or for any starting box in the popular race.
Registration for the Nationale-Nederlanden San Silvestre Vallecana Popular race costs €24 + €0.80 processing fee from the opening of registrations until August 31st. From September 1st, the registration cost will be €26 + €0.80 processing fee. Registration for the Nationale-Nederlanden San Silvestre Vallecana International race costs €25 + €0.80 processing fee.
The registration includes participation in the popular or international race, registration to the virtual race, runner's pack, long-sleeved technical BOOMERANG race T-shirt, race bib, timing chip, accident insurance for the in-person race, hydration at the start and finish line, medical service during the in-person race, digital diploma, preferential place reservation for the 2024 race, and access to activities, contests, training, and experiences in the months leading up to the race.
No, the bag drop service has an additional cost. You must choose it at the time of registration. There are two options: the cloakroom in Vallecas, where you can leave your belongings the day before in the afternoon or on the same day of the race in the morning (cost: €1), or the mobile cloakroom, where you leave your bag at the race start and the organization will transport it to the finish line (cost: €5).

Anyone over 16 years old can run the Nationale-Nederlanden San Silvestre Vallecana. Those under this age can register for the San Silvestre Vallecana Mini to be held on December 23th. Those over 16 and under 18 must present an authorization signed by a parent or guardian when picking up the race bib.

Yes, we recommend contacting the organization to provide the guide with a free race bib. It is also possible to provide the runner with a guide if he/she does not have one, but it is necessary to inform the organization in advance.
In case you are going to run the race on December 31st in Madrid you must place it in the laces of your shoes. If you wear it in your pocket or in any other part of your body, it is possible that your time will not be correctly reflected in the classifications. If you only run the virtual race, you do not have to use the chip.
Yes, when you register you can choose home delivery. The cost of this service is 5€. The pack will start arriving on December 1st. Those registrations formalized after December 22nd are not guaranteed to arrive before the race on December 31st.

Yes, when you register, you can choose to pick up the pack by selecting the date and time of your choice. The pick up place will be the Polideportivo Daoiz y Velarde, at Plaza Daoiz y Velarde, number 5 (Madrid).
Yes, but you must bring with you a copy of your ID, an authorization signed by that person and the accreditation of the corresponding brand, in case you have it.
No, on the day of the race no T-shirts, wristbands or runner's packs will be given out.
Yes, you can participate using a smartwatch and then upload the GPX file to a link that will be provided in the days prior to the start of the virtual race. This file must be uploaded during the virtual race period (December 28th to December 31st).
It is important that you start the app on the street. If you start it at home or any other indoor location, the phone will not be able to locate you via GPS and therefore the app will not work. In the weeks leading up to the race, several challenges will be organized through the app. If you participate in them, you will become familiar with its functioning, and in case of any issues, we can help you resolve them before the race.
Claims regarding the classification must be made to the timing judge or race director up to 30 minutes after the runner's entry into the finish line, enclosing 40 euros. This amount will remain on deposit until a decision is made on the claim submitted, spending the time necessary to carry out the necessary checks and consultations. Only if the decision issued considers the claim to be justified, the amount deposited will be returned. If the claim is made after the race day, the deadline for claims will be open from January 3rd, 2024, to January 15th, 2024. This claim must be made through info@sansilvestrevallecana.com
